David wraps up his discussion with physician turned entrepreneur, Dr. Merlynn Carson, the award-winning founder and CEO of Myriddian, a Health IT consulting firm that integrates data, healthcare, and workforce solutions for better patient outcomes. In part two, Merlynn shares why her husband invested in Myriddian while they were still dating and what drives her to connect with other female entrepreneurs and help them to succeed.
Dr. Merlynn Carson:
Merlynn is a Physician by training, with an emphasis on research and Pathology. Dr. Carson made the switch from Medicine to focus on her entrepreneurial venture. Merlynn is the founder and CEO of Myriddian, LLC. Myriddian is a Health IT firm focused on integrating technology, data, and clinical medicine to better understand our population and public health, supporting both the public and private sectors.
Dr. Carson is an expert in healthcare, public policy, and government affairs. She sits on the Board of Directors and the National Council for the White House Historical, she is also an advisory board member and was a Maryland delegate for the RNC.
Dr. Carson, is effectively managing the company, steering it towards growth and success, recently landing on the INC 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies in the US. Myriddian was also the recipient of the Moxie Awards, which recognizes Organizations for having demonstrated boldness and innovation as an integral part of their growth strategy.
She loves spending time with her family, which includes her husband, Ben Carson, Jr, and their 3 children. Other than spending time with her family, Merlynn enjoys spending her leisure time traveling, or reading a good book within the comfort of her home.
