Joining Mathieu this week is Jean-Paul “JP” Calabio, the Chief Information Security Officer at Alorica. JP shares how he became Alorica’s first-ever CISO, how Alorica was able to transition their entire team to a work-at-home environment during the pandemic, and how he learned to better communicate with board members.
About JP Calabio:
JP brings more than 20 years to his role as Alorica’s first-ever Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). In this position, he leads Alorica’s Global Information Security team, manages the company’s security framework and applies it across the enterprise.
Prior to joining Alorica, JP was the CISO at SC Johnson. In his five-year tenure there, he was responsible for setting information security strategy and delivering on that strategy. Before his time at SC Johnson, JP was the CISO at Maple Leaf Foods Inc. and a senior-level information security position at Rockwell Automation.
JP earned his Bachelor of Science in Business from Mount Mercy University in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He also completed the Ivey Leadership Program for Executive Development at Western University in London, Ontario, Canada. JP holds ISACA® certifications as both an Certified Information Security Manager and an Certified Information Systems Auditor.
